Congratulations to Anne Maree Hunter, a long term member of the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop for winning the “Celebrating Nature” art prize held biannually at Back to Back Galleries in Cooks Hill, Newcastle.
This exhibition was initially held in honour of the Laman Street figs that were removed in front of the Newcastle Art Gallery, an important reminder of the transience and importance of nature.
The exhibition runs until Sunday 7 February 2016.

Picked and Pressed Opening
On Friday 15th January 2016 we opened the doors of the Old Fire Shed Gallery to Wollombi to hold our first ever Newcastle Printmakers exhibition there. The exhibition had been hung the day before in 40 degree plus heat, not ideal, but the show looked wonderful. The opening was held on Saturday 16th January and was attended by many members of the Wollombi community as well as a group of printmakers. Thank you to everyone who made the trip out to Wollombi, a very picturesque village nestled in the rolling hills of the Hunter Valley.
